Alone,
I am able to reach only so far,
but with the help of heaven
above, my good friends below, my
ancestors before me, and those to
come, I thank you all for
teaching me the lessons of
appreciation. For now I am less
than I was before, and more than
I could ever be.
This
album is a marriage of moments
and time. I was discovered as the
fire died out and there was
nothing but the wind Blowing On
The Coals. I was Waiting For A
Miracle by the gates of Jericho,
the times were quiet times, but
Relatively Speaking there is a
war. The river was Running Dry,
and I was lifting my hands up in
prayer saying Henaini, here I am.
How can I enter the Promised
Land, when my hands are full of
Bribes and I am surrounded by
Modern Idols? I heard about a
time where prophets spoke of
souls returning, and I wondered
if We Are The Prophecy. I weighed
my thoughts and actions Measure
For Measure and I began to feel
Kedusha from above.
I
am grateful to have arrived at
this point, through a small
effort on my part, and a great
investment and undertaking by
Barry, a commitment of love and
effort by Karen, enlisting the
inspired talents of my good
friend and partner Neil, all of
the magicians who added their
special magic to these songs of
mine, which are now yours to
listen to. To the family at Phase
One including Mike and Donny, and
also Vic, who added their own
special spices, and to my family
at home, my wonderful parents and
brothers, who have always given
so much.
And
as I stand here two years later,
and look at this round disc that
contains so many oceans and faces
and smiles, and fires and storms,
and relationships, and bonds that
are seen and that are unseen,
it's hard to express my thoughts
and my emotions. It may just be
songs on a CD to some, but to me
it invokes a special time in my
life, and a certain mood comes
over me. A Mystical
Mood.

You
say you're looking for the next
big "I'm falling in love, baby
baby", or "Can't live without
you" CD?If that's the case, you
may want to keep looking since
this new album by Ron Wiseman is
probably not for you.
"Mystical
Mood", Ron's first full length CD
delivers catchy, commercial, pop
melodies merged with a thinking
person's poetic lyrics. We call
it Biblical Reggae - words and
stories inspired by the Old
Testament combined with modern
Reggae rhythms and sounds. All
melodically presented.
One
listen will convince you
something a little different is
happening here. And if you
believe, as I do, that today's
popular music could benefit from
an infusion of intelligent, well
crafted songs, then this CD
should readily fit the bill.
