From
Tottenham, Ontario comes the rock
band Pup delivering highly
focused original songs,
demonstrating their vocal,
instrumental, and song creation
strengths.
Formed
in 1994, Pup was signed to
Marshmellow Records a year later
and released their self titled
first CD in 1996. The album spent
14 weeks on Sam The Record Man's
Top Ten Indie Charts. "Chronic
Fatigue" placed #5 on Q107's
Homegrown Contest. "Dunce Cap"
was featured on Music West's
"Earotica" sampler. "Action
Figure", was used on the
syndicated tv show "F/X: The
Series", and it is also set to
appear this summer in the
Canadian movie "Expert Witness".
Reviews of the first album were
plentiful and extremely positive.
Having played at all the main
Canadian music festivals, Pup is
gearing up to do more live dates
this year.
Mistress
contains 40 minutes of catchy,
punchy, radio friendly songs that
should see Pup develop a new
legion of fans. As one reviewer
put it... "this young band from
Tottenham is bound for big
things."
