With his finely tuned ear, Alfred began playing several instruments, including the guitar at age 15, and piano at age 17. "I knew I wanted a career in music from the time I was in elementary school", he says, "so I'm not at all suprised that I'm more heavily involved in the industry than I ever was. This CD is my first, but I have so many melodies running through my head, I know there will be others". Alfred's musical journey thus far has been a diverse one, ranging from classical music to country, and from heavy rock guitar to the most peaceful ballads. Currently Carns works in a specialized department of a music store during the day and composes by night. His main interests include; music theory, 20th century classical composition, and the study of jazz guitar. He is also writing new material for a future CD.
